The Volo Mission Ranch is located in Campbell, Texas, approximately 65 miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport [DFW]. Strategically positioned in the heart of Texas, it provides the comfort and quiet of a ranching, farm-like setting with fewer interruptions from other aircraft and air traffic control allowing the individuals to focus solely on training.
The Volo Ranch encompasses 100 acres dedicated to long-line training featuring a multitude of exercises that will challenge your skill. Our on-site housing is furnished with authentic decor native to the hardy farm life of Texas.
Volo Mission offers two training locations; Texas, USA and North Bay, Canada. Each training facility is designed to progressively develop the pilot’s knowledge, skills, confidence, and awareness in preparation to manage responsibilities safely and successfully in the vertical reference/long line profession. Pilots worldwide come to The Ranch every year to navigate this complex training environment that mirrors real-world scenarios.
Aircraft Types and Options
Volo Mission provides vertical reference/long line training primarily in the R44 helicopter however, additional helicopters such as, the Bell 407 and the MD500 may be an option.
Volo Mission also accommodates clients who prefer to train in their aircraft to support and supplement corporate in-house aviation training departments.
Volo Mission offers the option to train onsite at the client’s location. Please let us know your needs, and we will work to create a tailored proposal for your training.
For individuals registered for the course that may be flying a personal aircraft, Volo Mission provides overnight parking on-site or a nearby hangar located at the Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport [KSLR] that offers exceptional business and aviation services.
Long line vertical reference training challenges even the most experienced pilots. ‘The Ranch’ offers the comfort and freedom of a ‘home on the range’ atmosphere while providing the necessary ‘escape’ to relax and wind down after a long training day.
Our on-site housing includes a Farm House, and a Texas Cabin, both featuring the décor and architectural style native to the hardy farm life of Texas.
The newly-renovated Farm House is fully furnished with 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. The Farm House is equipped with Smart TVs in each room, WiFi access, a washer/dryer, and access to common areas, including an outdoor furnished patio and fire pit, all with a view of a lovely pond.
